This probe is designed for those technicians that want the best tool available. Supplied with a cone-shaped tip and a duckbill tip that is longer and flatter, permitting insertion into larger cables, or cables under tension where slack cannot be obtained. Another feature is the built in speaker for audio without the need for a butt set or headset.
The speaker is operated by a slide switch that has a "lock" position for continuous monitoring. Features: New Locking & Non-locking switch that is field adjustable. Leads of the butt set (or headset) are clipped to the "ears", automatically energizing the probe. High input impedance to permit capacitive coupling with the pair carrying the tone signal. Output impedance is low to match the impedance of the butt set or headset.
Quickly and easily locates the proper cable pair containing the tone signal. An audible speaker so that it may be used with or without a Lineman's test set (butt set). Uses standard 9V DC battery: Eveready 216, RCA VS323, 006P import or equivalent.
